Making Money with Online Surveys

Alright, i figured i would start the posting about something i really know a lot about, paid online surveys. Whats the deal with all of these online survey sites: i'm sure most of you have seen some of this verbiage for example:

"Get paid to take online surveys and make from $5 to $75 each, or more!

Get paid to participate in focus groups and make up to $150 an hour!

Get paid to take phone surveys and you can earn as much as $120 an hour!

Get paid to try new products (and keep the free products too)!

Get paid to preview new movie trailers for $4 to $25 an hour!

and it doesn't matter where you live, or who you are - you can do it too. I've shown 1000s of people all over the world, in over 50 different countries, how to get paid for their opinions. But let's get one thing straight right off the bat. I'm not going to lie to you and say you'll make $150 an hour all day every day, or make $10,000+ every month - because you won't.... but when you can make up to $150 an hour you don't NEED to work that much!"

O geeze, i might as well quit my job. Has anyone had any success with these?? I will let you all know of my experience. These surveys aren't new or anything, Marketing firms all over the world have always been paying people for they're honest opinions on products. Some of the real common sites out there are Synovate Research, NPD Online Research, Opinion Surveys, Viva Research, Consumer Opinion, SurveySpot, Survey Savvy, Your 2 Cents, Nielsen NetRatings, e-Poll, GlobalTestMarket, ECN Research, and tons and tons of others. Basically you visit the site and sign up as part of the test panel by giving some general demographic data and an email address. Based on your demographics, you will then be contacted, via email, to fill out online surveys that apparently pay a bundle.

I signed up with just about every survey site out there and the truth of the matter is, yes, i have made a tiny bit of money, but it has been quite a time commitment. Basically on average you will get anywhere from $1.00 to $3.00 per survey completed and each survey lasts from 20 to 30 minutes. Not exactly $150 an hour.

To make matters worse, there are actually sites out there that make you pay for their supposed, "special pool of survey research companies." These sites such as SurveyIncomeSystem, SurveyScout, SurveyAbsolute, and BestPaidOnline Surveys make you pay money, sometimes up to $39.99 to get their list of survey companies that are very easily available to find free of charge.

I would have to say that out of all the survey sites out there i would have to say that surveyspot.com is the only one that regularly sends me surveys that pay out on average of $3.00. So far in the past 5 months, i have made about $90 bucks, not exactly $150 an hour!

Let me say again that these are my own opinions, if anyone has had any other experiences, let me know, i am open to absolutely anything and everything. Alright, i'm sure there will be plenty more to post about this topic.

regards,

David

First Post!

Hello everyone,

I have created this Blog for those who are interested in achieving a goal; making extra money, extra income, and just more money. I have tried several money making schemes and most hold absolutely no credibility. First of all don't worry, I will not be posting any threads for sending others to sign up for something as my referral as most blogs and message boards do. I am however, extremely interested in discussing new opportunities, success stories, and honest legitimate ways of making extra money out there, especially with the Internet. I also want all those who have been defrauded or scammed in some way to let everyone else know, so that these scam artists can get put out of business.

First of all, about myself. My name is David, I am 23, and just graduated from College 1 year ago. I studied and got my degree in accounting, (don't ask me why). Currently I work for Deloitte & Touche, which is one of of the big four accounting firms and I make $45,000. I work on the Audit side and basically I put in about a 55 to 60 hour week on average. Its pretty rough, not exactly what it was like in college. The money isn't terrible, but its not what I want. I envy all those stories that I hear about certain individuals who go to bed one night, and then wake up the next morning having made a thousand dollars. Basically I wanted to create this blog for those to share experiences, whether they be good or bad, about money making ideas, tips, and general information about how to make some additional income, or even a full time income.

I don't really like being a workaholic, in fact i really don't like my work sometimes like i'm sure all of you probably do. I like sports, i like going to parties and spending time with friends. I really just don't want to have to worry about money. So that is why i've created this blog, so all of us can discuss things of this nature.

I have tried several things online. Surveys, paid to click, paid emails, online books, online cd, paid to complete offers, paid to shop, affiliate programs. Most of them have been quite unsuccessful. Some of the sites that I have come across I find absolutely hilarious. I'm sure many of you have seen the ones where the site consists of a single page in one collumn. Usually there is a guy flipping through $100 dollar bills in a picture as he's standing next to a Cadillac Escalade. Other recurring features of these sites consist of certain supposedly rich individuals showing off copies of their bank statements with money just pouring in. Finally at the bottom of these sites, there is usually a book or so with stacks of money on that cover that supposedly usually sells for $69.99 but if you order in the next hour, the price gets slashed to $29.99, what a deal! These sites are normally completely useless and just contain books of useless information on affiliate marketing. Of course i could be wrong about some of them. If anyone has had success with any of these, please let me and anyone else know, i'm completely open to any ideas.

Again don't worry, I'm not gonna be posting banners for anyone to sign up for something as my referral, i've given up on most of those. Overall, I just want to create a forum for people to describe their experiences with income generating opportunities. Also if anything is on your mind at all concerning money, getting screwed out of money, or making money, feel free to post. I want people to feel free to Post whatever they please about money. Maybe some of us can start learning from other's mistakes and start really becoming successful at generating extra monthly income. Please let anyone else you know of my new blog and maybe we can really get some good topics going.

Alright that is all for now, I plan on posting regularly so check back soon.

regards,

David
